Did you know there was a Cape May Wine Trail?
The 19-mile Cape May Wine Trail highlights some of the most scenic shoreline in South Jersey, from the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean to the freshwater Delaware Bay, meandering through Natali Vineyards, Jessie Creek Winery, Hawk Haven Vineyard, Cape May Winery, Turdo Vineyards, and Willow Creek Winery.
Each of these properties have a unique terroir and atmosphere. My favorites (in no particular order):
Cape May Winery:
- a small slice of Napa close to Cape May
- great food on premises from the Lucky Bones kitchen
- live music
- nice event spaces, beautiful courtyard with fountain
- architectural touches like wall accents made from recycled barrels
Jessie Creek:
- charming and quaint
- friendly staff with a distinct family-run feel
- picnic style food available for purchase
- live music
- game nights and photography shows on site
- private room for events
- Airbnb on property
- very family and dog friendly
Hawk Haven:
- Jessie Creek's more sophisticated cousin
- live music and Rootstock concert series
- cute touches like wine served in plastic beach buckets + fire pits
- cheese plates + other nibbles available to order
- family and dog friendly
